As of May 5, 2015 Ruth Ann Michnay, P.A. may represent clients in the United States Tax Court. It is the only court that allows non-attorneys to practice if they pass the US Tax Court Exam. She took the exam November 2014 and passed! Congratulations - United States Tax Court Practitioner!!
Ruth Ann has more than 25 years of tax and accounting/bookkeeping experience and is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants and National Association of Enrolled Agents.
She is also a tax instructor at the University of Minnesota College of Continuing Education and was an adjunct professor at Metropolitan State University for 11 years. She started her own CPA firm in April 2004 and has built a strong reputation within the following years.
